Mira Event XS

Hi Everyone,

First question for a beginner

I will shortly be installing a Mira Event XS and I'm not sure about the hot supply.

The Mira installation manual seems to suggest that the supply from my hot cylinder should be at a 30 to 60 degree angle. The hot outlet from my cylinder is at the very top and immediately turns through 90 degrees, runs horizontally for about 45cms and then drops down to supply the taps etc and vertically to a vent.


Can I take a supply from the horizontal pipe to the Event XS? or should I take a supply from vertical hot supply pipe?

In order of decreasing preference, you can:

Install an Essex flange
Install a Surry (or Warix) flange
Tee off the vertical pipe after the point of teeing off to the vent
Tee off the horizontal pipe before the vent
