Ive looked through the various threads on here but just need a bit of a steer.

Ive fitted a Mira Magna electronic mixer shower with built in pump. Its on a gravity system and I fitted this shower to replace an existing gravity mixer shower.

Shortly after turning the shower on we have a loud trumpet horn sound from the water pipes. The sound lasts about 10 seconds and then goes off.

I know this is air in the system but I dont know how to cure it.

The hot water pipe comes out of the cylinder in 22 mm, it Ts off to the bathroom hot water taps then reduces to 15mm going up into the loft across the house and into the shower pump unit which is mounted on the joists above the shower head below.

Ive read about a surrey valve as a means of supplying hot water to the shower.

Would fitting one of these as a dedicated feed to my shower cure the air problem.
