Just had a Riva Advance Combi 32KW HE installed by a Corgi in June.
Got fed up with the flow of the Gainsborough 9.5KW electric shower. I've taken tees from the hot and cold and routed the pipework to the corresponding hot and cold inlets of the Mira Pace.
I followed the instructions and commissioning (including fitting isolators and flushing the pipework). The flow isn't much better than the electric shower. I was rather disappointed. I fitted the flow restrictor to the outlet hose as per the instructions. So, I decided to remove it - and bam! Warp factor 8! Seriously huge improvement - blasted out!
The instructions state that the restrictor should be fitted to high pressure systems (above 0.5 bar). There's also some blurb in there about TMV2 applications when it references the flow restrictor - but I have no clue what it means.
Is it safe to leave the flow restrictor out. Jeez, I hope so... ???
