i have fitted a new thermal switch and now i have a leak from top of tank

ignore him he'll ask a question oneday and get no answer.
where is the leak from ? is it the brass band round the lip.
rare for these to leak.

not sure but when shower on water collected on the top and then it tripped the fuse box
sounds like the top has corroded maybe under the tco.
new can is needed about £80

the strange thing is that it did not leak before i fitted the switch

there was only a little bit and yes i cleaned it up
may of been on its last legs and cleaning it hasn't helped.
but now it's knackered and your only left with two options new shower or can.
