Hi

I've had a Mira Sprint (don't know wattage) in my flat since I bought it 3 years ago. Yesterday, when I pulled the chord to turn the electricity off to the shower, it tripped the RCD knocking out the shower and all of my plug sockets.

I can turn all the fuses in my fuse box back on when the showers power chord is turned off, but when I turned it on, the whole RCD goes again. Luckily I have a bath.

From this behaviour, would it be worth replacing the shower fuse on the main fuse box, or concentrating on (preferably fixing) the shower?

Thanks in advance.

if turning it off caused the problem to start with, then the first port of investigation should be the switch itself..

with the power off, open the switch and check the connections...
