Help!

I have just installed an 'Eseentials' electric shower which is fine until the 'on' button is pressed on the shower and it trips the RCD.

An engineer from Mira came out and checked the shower saying it was fine and must be a problem with my RCD, but i have another mira shower downstairs on the same RCD which never trips the RCD.

The shower will power up fine (by this i mean you can turn the isolator on) but as soon as you hit the button it trips. The MCB does not trip.

Any ideas? I am baffled and I'm an engineer...! The RCD is extremely reliable otherwise.

You installed the neutral into the wrong neutral bar in the CU?

dunk. spark123 maybr be right, is your board a split board, i.e. you have some circuits protected by the main switch and some by an RCD
