About two weeks ago I notice that a small piece of the peddle dash we have on the house had fallen off. It is at the top of the house. It is about an inch wide and about 3 inches long. The bricks of the house are not exposed yet. Difficult to get too. I did manage to get a ladder and fill the crack with mortar but after a few days this piece of mortar fell down and the crack exposed again. The rest of the peddle dash covering the house looks fine and this is the first problem we have had. Can anyone suggest what we should do? Would external sealant be any good to fill the gap to avoid the rain going in and freezing over the Winter. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
