Missing Spindles in the stair way

Hello Expert,

We are redoing the hallway and removing the paneling to bring back the spindles and banisters - however, so far, one spindle is missing.

What is the best way to find a close match as close as possible to the original one? Or can it be made bespoke by some specialised shop without spending a fortune? I was thinking we could take one out and bring it to a shop, and they can produce a replica?

Many thanks

Find a local wood turner

Creative wood turner.
Wood turning gifts and commission.

That sort of thing.

Get spares while you are there

If you can take one off you can take it to your local woodyard.
They may be able to advise you better.

try a local "Mens Shed" nice little project for someone, lot of work, at least a day, so probaly 30 £40 quid donation - I have done a couple like that in the past.

Oof, I might be somewhat hesitant to buy from a website with that many hyphens in the name
