Hi this is my first post probably the fist of many :) Me and my girlfriend have just purchased are first house it is a 3 bed semi town house, built in the 1880s. I am a bricklayer by triad but plan to do a lot of the prep work ready for the plasterer.

My question is there is a hole upstairs on the solid wall that has lime mortar and lime render but not shore about the plaster on top (how do i tell?) So what perpetration and mix should I use to render it, also once done would it just be a case of pva and skim of gypsum plaster?

If the damage is as small as it looks, just fill it with easyfill.
