mixer shower on back wall

Hi

My girlfriend is thinking of putting a shower on the back wall of the bathroom which is the wall that joins us to the neighbours - she's on about building a false wall 30mm thick tu run pipes through to save the hassle of chiselling into the block wall to channel hot and cold water up to shower (which I dont mind doing anyway?)

is this a viable solution? do people normally do this sort of thing? (build a false wall just for pipework)

thanks

depends on the situation.
if the baths already in and fits wall to wall then no not really an option.
i prefer to channel the wall.

why not fit exposed pipework in chrome looks nice.
