Can someone help me please with difficulties I am having in making a water tight joint at the top of the tail pipes from my kitchen mixer tap. The tail pipes connect with a compression joint to the 15mm supply but when I tighten the compression fitting the tail pipe slackens in the tap. If the tap had a left hand thread everything would tighten against itself - but it doesn't. What am I doing wrong?:?:

Use 2 spanners or grips, one on the compession joint body and one on the nut.

Thanks, Fitter, for the reply but as the nut turns it tries to turn the tail pipe. Do professionals have three hands so they can clamp the tail?
