Monobloc Mixer Taps

Hi, my kitchen mixer tap is leaking around the hot water valve spindle and I am told it can't be repaired. Is renewing the tap as straight forward and easy as a single separate hot or cold tap? Will the new mixer tap come with the copper tails to connect it to the 15mm feed pipes? And lastly do all mixer taps have copper tails? Many thanks...

Nothing is straight forward get ready for a couple of hours under the kitchen sink with a hard lump in your back and water runnign down your arms.....

Get a set of box spanners.

Yes soft copper tails de rigour these days. The guys who desighn the taps sure never fitted one.
