Hi,

I've got a pickle with my bath/tap combo in that there isn't enough thread on the taps to get them fitted properly.

The bath is an old victorian roll top cast iron job and the bit where the taps go is about 3/4" thick.

The mixer is a Beaumont luxury crank leg mixer like this one http://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/Luxury-Beaumont-3-4-Inch-Cranked-Bath-Shower-Mixer.aspx#Dimension

To make matters slightly worse the system will be on 2bar via a stuart turner monsoon pump, so needs to be a solid attachment.

I've spoken to the manufacturer, they're basically not bothered.
Don't think a thread extension will work as there still won't be enough to work with.
Can't send them back as I bought them nearly 2yrs ago as part of a set and have no idea who I bought them from....
Don't want to change the bath...

Any ideas?

How much is sticking through the bath when the taps are in place? You could always 'cut down' the thread extensions.

not enough to get a confident seal I don't think.
What do you mean by 'cut down' the thread extensions?
