Just purchased a 12 way MK CU - the casing is so flimsy the plastic nearly broke when opening the flap and it falls off upon normal use.
Just prepping for tomorrow's job by getting bus bar cut and ready for a high integrity install and 2 of the 6amp MCB are faulty!

One is showing "green" when either latched on and off and the other won't latch on!!

What a load of rubbish - another visit down the supplier tomorrow and more wasted time due to the poor quality of components in the UK

MK CUs have definitely gone down the pan in quality, the last one I fitted was about a year ago, only because it was cheap on a special and client was as tight as a drum.
Not fitted one since, but have had the pleasure to work on a few.
Prefer the BG's, if going to work for tight arses!

Yep, MK are dreadful. Stopped fitting them before they chnged to the current model, but I see they're even worse than ever.

BG are actually not bad for a budget CU.

I fit hager on 90% of my jobs. Great range of options and devices, good build quality, and very low failure rate.
