Mines still on stands, gearbox still all over the shed. Got loads of bits to sort it but no time!.

Would like to get gearbox built and back in over Christmas holiday.

Is that an Atlas Grey?.

It was originally blue, then black now Audi Daytona Grey.

My lad has been wanting get the GTI back on the go so we've been at it this week.

Had to make/ modify a trolley to get engine through the house but it's in the workshop no read for a refurb.

Most of the chassis parts are salvageable and in good nick considering!.

Going AN-3 coated stainless Teflon brake lines throughout (routed through cabin).

I've bought a set of Yamaha R1 carbs to do a carb conversion but second guessing myself now and it may stay a 16vG60 after all.

I had a 1990 big bumper GTi 16v. Miss it, sold it back in 2003. The owner I sold it to ended up somehow having it used in an official anniversary photoshoot at a dealership somewhere some time ago, probably when the Mk5 came out I think.

Lots been going on!, made lifting frames to mount car on chassis trolleys.

All front subframe back together just waiting for its home.

In cabin stainless braided brake hoses run.

Rear beam out and a LOT of welding needs doing!, a thread on it's own tbh..

Spent last Monday chopping sills out, grinding floor and working out a plan of action!.

New sills, front and rear floor / jacking panels ready to fit this Sunday hopefully an a lot of hand made panels to sort out.

Hopefully it's not raining..

Would be boring if it was too easy..
