MK3 Fiesta Bonnet stuck

Hi I have a 1991 Mk3 ford fiesta and i cant open the bonnet.

ive checked the cable is intact and tried yanking it with brute strength
and ive tried pressing on the bonnet while pulling the cable.

My haynes manual tells me to remove the 3 screws that hold the latch in place, however i cant reach 2 of the screws through the radiator grill as they are concealed by the bonnet.

this is really annoying and i would love suggestions to reach them or open my bonnet

You should be able to flick the catch open with a screwdriver, either through the grill or from up and underneath
