Hi, have just replaced prv on this boiler and need to get rid of air in the system have bled rads but still gurgling in boiler anyone know how to vent the boiler and repressure the system thanks in anticpation.
On the top of the pump is the auto air vent, make sure the little black cap is loose, somewhere on your system usually close to boiler you will have a filling loop, silver braided flexible pipe across to pipes.
Look in faqs if you are not sure what one looks like.
Hi thanks for that, but does that mean it vents itself out of the schrieder valve on top of the pump or do i have to release the air accumulated inside the boiler...
I have filled the system to 1 bar and bled the rads, when i switch the boiler on it starts and fires up for about 30 secs then shutsdown and the low pressure light flashes..
I can hear the air inside the boiler how can i get it out.....
ok this is where i am now..
have checked pressure in expansion tank and is sitting at 18lbs psi,
also system is sitting at 1.5 bar and boiler, pump and rads. are all vented free of air.
Could this be a problem with the circuit board telling the boiler to go into safe mode....
The water side is now as it should be but after firing boiler it still cuts off after about 10 seconds and the low pressure warning light starts to flash.
think the problem is now electrical...
