as anyone dealt with a broken cambelt for a mondeo 1.8 td lx 2000 x reg mk2. mine went today and was wandering what the cost of repair could entail. any help apreciated thanks.

yes, regularly

usually breaks the camshaft and bends valves. replacement head is usually the answer, and a belt kit of course.

cost about a grand usually.

depends on whats been damaged,if its just a couple of valves you may get away with a few hundred quid to repair,depends on the monkey you take it to
