I had loads of mondeos when they first came out as I was using Hertz as an alternative to purchasing a company car. I thought they were pretty good at the time. I changed them every month and had everything from the 1.8 to the 2.5 litre V6. I think both the current crop of Mondeos and Vectras look way better than their French and German alternatives, but the masses want Audi's and Beemers now, so both have a brand issue.

Best looking out of an ugly bunch... hate the last mondeo's engines options though... a 1 litre ecoboost.... c'mon.

I had a 19cdti Vectra and although it looked alright it's was a pig of an engine. Fix It Again Tomorrow.

Amazed how many people drive premium brand cars these days but live in tiny little houses or caravans lol, Vanity?
That doesn't bother me, up to how people want to spend their hard earned. Flashy cars, eating out, going on lots of holidays, lots of fun.. or a big house. I can see the appeal :)

Mabelthorpe was gridlocked Sunday with flashy beemers Audis and Ferraris. True story. ;)
Had to abandon going to Lidl's. I was furious...

Maybe premium brand, but it's just a badge on some of the smaller offerings from the likes of BMW, Merc, etc. Their small stuff is quite ordinary and some of it is nasty. Little hatchback Mercs, what's that all about? BMW 1 series with faulty French engines. Jeez. Good con trick by the premium brands to move lots of metal though. Stick on a posh badge and let the punters kid themselves.
