Mono block tap lever stiff when hot water used

I fitted a Monobloc single lever mixer tap (ceramic disk) about six months ago, and noticed that as time has gone on, especially when using hot water it gets very stiff and difficult to control. I’ve stripped it down and everything seems to be ok, but once it’s back together and the hot water flows through, it becomes very difficult to control and use again.

Does anybody have any ideas.......if I clean and re-apply some silicone grease is it likely to wash away with the hot water??
