monobloc tap - how do I access the cartridge

Hi, my sink tap has developed a grating sound every time you use it. also it seems a lot stiffer. I have taken the tap head of but now a little unsure how to access the cartridge, do I need a special tool to get to it. Ive attached pictures

Unscrew the brass ring with the 2 notches.
