I have a lever action Monobloc tap in the kitchen sink installed about 3 years ago. The lever action has now become very stiff and hard to operate. Our water has a high limescale content. Can anyone suggest a solution to the problem

This type of filter is easy to fit (although this model is probably not the best)

They can be fitted to the rising main and will treat both cold and DHW.

I also noticed this http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?ts=95635&id=13487 but have never fitted one so can't recommend.
