Time for some more pictures...

This was one I wanted to take home with me, but the householder wanted to keep it as a "period feature"!

A modern take on a 1960's nightmare.

That's FP200 terminated into that plugtop...

This is a DNO's scrappy attempt to feed the next-door house from it's neighbour... I wouldn't like my neighbour to have access to my earth connection...

Most proberably because the unedited ones are in your cache.
If you reload the page with "control F5" or put a ? at the end of the URL it should reload all the pics etc as new into your cache.

I wonder what will happen to the neighbours supply, if one of those service fuses were to operate? - seems a very shoddy way to run a DNO feeder!

looking at it i reckon the end terminal with two cables is the neutral and probablly has a solid link fitted. The two houses then seem to have seperate fuses for thier lives.

Yeah, I thought it was shoddy.

The earth connection to next door is on a brass terminal block, not sweated, so could come loose. The fuse for next door is in this house - what if it goes open circuit? Plus there is an identical fuse next door...not good discrimination.

Also, there is a cold-poured joint under the lounge floor of this house where that split-con joins up with the paper-insulated cable feeding next door....

What a bull's-up!
