Moroccan plaster

Any one have any expirence on this type of plaster ?

Job we are on with 2 shower rooms is going to be plastered with this type of finish apparently it’s completely water proof suitable for shower enclosures ???

It appears to be Tadelakt which is a lime-based plaster. The surface is polished up for decorative effect and a soap or fat added which reacts with the lime to make it waterproof.

I'm not conscious that I've seen it but probably it is used in other parts of North Africa. Worth remembering that their climate is hot and dry so I should think bathrooms, and especially showers, will still need good steam extraction.
