Hi,

Please can someone tell me the correct ratio to use when mixing mortar for a garden wall, with standard bricks? Ive been told 3:1 4:1 and even 5:1

I have the following to mix: Cement, Sand & Plasticizer

Also can i use the same ratio for a course of engineering bricks?

Thanks alot,

Jack

we use 3:1 up to dpc, i.e. engineering bricks or dense blocks.

4:1 for regular brickwork above dpc.

5:1 for lightweight blocks.
