The gyroscopic action of a 9" grinder is a nightmare if you don't have secure footing. using the above in a 4 1/2 grinder might serve you safer

You know what, I will give it a try. Maybe the safer option and I can at least rule it out before I try one of the grown up toys!

So you now intend to use a 12mm rake?
No, I'm not doing anything until I take a good look up there and feedback. It may be a week or so though depending on the scaffold. I'll restart this thread and maybe pm you if that's ok?
