I am trying to revive a lot of block paving which has moss and weeds in the joints. The area is too big to use a crevise tool 'thingy' whats the best weed killer for the job? :)

Weedkiller will not kill moss. A very good hard surface moss cleaner is MMC Pro. It will kill the moss brown but still need a bit of elbow grease to remove it from the crevices. If its not too large powerwash it.

The secret is to be proactive with cleaning a couple of times a year then you don't need the dreaded powerwash every 3 years

with block paving, if you powerwash it you will wash the sand out of the joints. Better to kill the moss and let it dry up and wither away.

If you use the weedkiller first, you will get a better view of the remaining moss.

Is there any way of making the paved area less damp?

Simply killing the moss will not be enough. Even when dead it will not blow away especially not if you have pedesta/ driveline type blocks with the chamfered edge. You need to either physically scrape out the crud or powerwash it out.

Sand can easily be brushed back in once totally dry to replenish what was removed.
