I have Marley flat concrete tile 1970s roof. They have two grooves and I worry that when the moss grows in the gap, water running down will overflow into the underfelt (which is the old bitumen stuff in a 1970s roof). Is there a tool to gouge out the groove somewhere that will telescope right to the top (5m)? This may help the OP as well.
