hi . my profile has stopped working. checked the mid position honeywell valve. live on white wire but dead on orange hence why no power to boiler. can you tell me if its the valve or acuator that needs replacing? and why the orange would be dead as matter of interest. just want to be sure so i can tell the plumber what wromg as wont get ripped off. thank you kindly

how about describing wich honeywell valve it is?
live on the white dead on the orange.
i take it you have a 3 port valve.
i would put it down to a faulty motor in the actuator, check for power at the motor wires when calling for heating if theirs power at the motor but motor is not operating the motor is faulty.
if no power at motor faulty microswitch.
