Hi all,

Moved into a property last april, and all was fine until the wet weather struck. Had an extensive build up of mould at the base of an interior wall which was unfortunately hidden by furniture so wasn't noticed immediately. Turns out the previous owner had painted over a vent (Some people should be banned from undertaking any DIY, regardless of its extent).

Anyway vent now unblocked, wall cleaned. But before I grab a paint brush, is there likely to be any extensive damage that isn't visible? The plaster seems ok, but I'm not an expert on damp proofing so I'm worried I'll miss something.

Thanks

do what you have done, vent the area and now wait for it to completely dry out.then check it out again,if ok then repaint.
