Hello there
Can anyone suggest a way to keep mould at bay? We get bad condensation on our bedroom windows and big patches of mould growing on the wall all around it, which keep coming back no matter what we do. The room has just been redecorated, so we are pretty annoyed! Any suggestions?

Mould likes damp.
As for the condensation....
Houses (older ones especially) were designed to breathe, and blocking all the vents and leaks up to keep warm for less money just traps all of the water the animals inside (us people included) generate. The water reappears from the atmosphere as condensation on cold windows. The simple old fashioned way to cut condensation is to ventilate your house. IE open the windows daily and use the heating.
Never decorate over mould without using bleach or mould killer in the first place and put an additive in the paint / paper paste (most off shelf paste has this already). If you have decorated without killing the original stuff off first, it will have got worse.
When you have got rid of it again, check your gutters and cills are not dripping water onto the brickwork in the area concerned.
