I need to move four speakers in my kitchen ceiling and wondered the best way to do this. The ceiling void is a good depth and I have plenty of space to move them. I'm good with plasterboard and multi finish but would just like a suggestion on how to do the job as best as possible.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Cut the new holes (this is probably easier than trying to move the existing holes) and then transplant the plasterboard circles into the old holes. Fit to a batten across the hole and flush with the existing ceiling. Use a bit of filler around the edge, sand and paint.

Brilliant, thanks for that.
Would you do the same thing if the new hole overlaps with the old one? Also, what would you suggest as the best way to cut the hole?
Thanks.

Before you stick a pad saw thru your ceiling and start cutting, make sure there are no leccy cables lying on the plaster board!!!

Right... job done! No damage and a holes successfully cut.
Only one slight problem... when I removed one of the speakers I've found a few rips in the (white) felt. Nothing too big but while I'm up the and has it exposed I'd like to repair it. Any suggestions please? Especially ones that don't involve buying a huge amount of felt )with it being Christmas eve tomorrow)!!
Thanks

if you mean speaker cloth behind the grille, any accoustically-transparent material will do. A couple of layers of nylon tights for example.

If you mean accoustic wadding behind the speaker inside an enclosure then charity shops or primark have pillow or cushion pads very cheaply.

No it's the breathable roofing membrane which I'm referring to as in this photo:

The cuts are 5-10cm long. Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks
