I am about to remove a radiator in a bathroom and replace it with a heated towel rail. Because the new rail will be higher on the wall the pipes will need to be extended to reach. I would like to hide the pipes and therefore intend to 'chase' the walls so the pipes can be burried within the wall.

Obviously they need to be deep enough to take the pipes, but should I go deeper to include installation?

Is there anything else that I don't know? Or should consider?

Many thanks in advance.
