Moving a radiator

The CH system is with an oil boiler Grant eco 21 series and has an expansion tank but is not a sealed system.

Can I just drain the system, fit the pipework to the repositioned rad and turn on the loft feed tap to refill?

If it not so simple is there another way to do this (I was thinking of using plastic pipe extensions instead of soldering to the existing copper.

Yep, that's about all you do, don't forget to add a corrosion inhibitor such as X100 or Fernox F1 when you're done, and use copper it's so much better than plastic
