Can anyone advise...?
We want to move the toilet in our bathroom. Currently is is 2m from the waste stack .
Would it be possible to move it to a different wall if the slope was adequate? This would mean going around two corners. What are the building regs regarding this?
If this is not possible, what maximum length could we extend the branch pipe to (along the same wall) from the main stack?
Many thanks.

Building regs. part H1 says that 6 metres is max length for WC branch off vertical stack, but you probably have to allow for resistance of bends too (say 1 metre each), so you haven't got much scope really.

However if you ventilate the branch, longer runs are permissable. In practice most people will ignore the building regs. and just do it, but your main problem will be with levels. The minimum fall for a WC branch is 9mm per metre, so if your using the existing branch connection the WC would need to be raised by several inches.

The standard gradient is 1:40, an inch per metre. Keep to it if you can.
