MP valve in mid postion with HW Only on

I was thinking it had too few wires! Sure this is a div valve actuator not a MP as required

how is there too few wires dave? just the lack of earth as far as I can see as its double insulated

blue = neutral
brown/white = heating call (normally white on other mids)
grey = heating off/satisfied as per norm
orange =heating call (are you sure this is red and not orange)

Tried it in the white but then nothing happened.
try it again and try turning the room stat up

Sorry guys- it is an orange wire and not red. And the powerhead is an hsa3 which is a mid position actuator. On the honeywell wiring centre-i have 6 possible terminals for the MP Valve. There are green/yellow, brown, grey, blue, orange and white.

The new valve has 4 wires. I have connected all to the coresponding colour except the brown/white wire which i have connected to the brown as when it was connected to the white-it didnt work at all. I will check voltages tonight.

Thanks for the ideas so far, dave

Have you checked and double checked the connections to the wiring centre?

Cut Links 4 and 5.

Also cut link 6 as the boiler has pump overrun.

5 wires from W/C "boiler" terminals to the boiler:

L to ST1/L
S/L to ST2/Ls
N to ST1/N
E to Earth terminal
P/L to ST2/Pl

Thanks for the help - I put the brown/white wire back to the white terminal - also cut link 1 which is for when a 2 channel programmer is used. New valve started working physically and all the voltages were as someone mentioned before so ive now drained part of the system and actually fitted the valve in place - all works like a treat now. Ive realised why the old valve wasnt working too
