outlook (2000) is no longer my default mail server, does anyone know how to change it back without re-installing it?

Go into help menu of internet explorer, select contents and index - use the index tab and type - mail. In the list you should see
mail program specifying (it was second in list for me)
that will show you how
PS - I am at work at the moment and I can't get into the actual section as it has been disabled but will check at home tonight if you have been unable to do it before then.

I have just checked - once you have opened internet options click on the program tab and choose outlook from the list.
