I have got a Potterton boiler and recently changed the programmer. I can get the heating to work by manually changing the motorised valve but I noticed that the room stat does not work. Can someone help please?

How do I check my wiring ? The only way I can get my heating working is to disconnect the motorised valve head and manually switch over. I think the room stat is working now.

From where I'm standing the position appears to be:

You changed your programmer and now something doesn't work.

Without knowing any more the answer appears to be that you have connected something wrong.

I don't know what, or how.

There might be someone else who can diagnose it without being able to see it, but I certainly couldn't. I think I may not be alone.

I am unable to diagnose the problem with the unseen wiring either.

Thats an odd room stat, one day it works but another day it does not. It must be a seven day programable stat?
