my hotpoint washer dryer

hi,
I have a hotpiont ultima 1200 washer dryer and almost every time I wash it tears my clothes. Please what could be the cause as it has torn visual all my clothes and having to go to the laundrette now.

There may be a bra wire or something similar poking through one of the holes in the drum. You need to carefully feel all round the inside of the drum, especially round the edges of the paddles. Sometimes something damages the edge of one of the holes and raises a jagged bit of metal. If you find something like that you can rectify it by gently hammering a large nail into the hole just far enough to push the raised bit inward.
