Over the last month or so i've been built a summerhouse out of old pallets a local skip company has given me (plus some reclaimed old glass doors from a GPs surgery).

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. You can see more photos of it, plus some of the build in progress here:

I built it in order to enter a contest to win £1,000 for a local charity I'm involved with (The Joseph Salmon Trust - who provide financial support to families who have lost a child, usually by helping to pay for funerals).

It's one of those horrific facebook voting contests, and if you want to you can vote for it here. However I'll be perfectly happy with some ooos and ahhs about how cool my summerhouse is :)[/url]

I noticed this before, but I didn't think it would be cricket to add mine to the bottom. :)

That music room was a major inspiration for the summerhouse. I looked at that post frequently while I was obsessing over it during the build.

I do take your point about the kudos, but if it's a choice between that and trying to help parents who's kids have died I'll take the lame road.

Only just seen this, nice to know I inspired someone else to get building with pallets, well done.

I might have filled the holes in the doors, but otherwise I like that. Ive made a plant table for my consevertory out of the pallet some plasterboard came on, free wood, cant beat it.
