Burner won't stay lit for more than 10 seconds.

Have changed the thermostat but no difference.

Note this is the Myson model with no thermocouple.

Any ideas.

Is the pump running? maybe stuck, is it rectifying after the burner ignites, could be a rectification problem without more info impossible to tell over the net.

Have looked at the pump ... sorry it took so long, its under the laminate flooring!!!!

Pump is running fine.

Have changed the ignition electrode as well.

Also note that the boiler runs for upto 35 seconds on initial start then goes into the on off situation.

check to see if your feed and expansion tank is empty. Sorry should have told you to do that first, always check the simplest things. Is trhe pilot a nice sharp blue? if it's not it can interfere with flame sense. Failing that it'll be the black control box but it would be better to check the electricity to it before replacing..................they are expensive.

sounds like a dirty pilot pulling away from electrode come sensor when main gas comes on.

Looks like it was a combination of things.......

Cleaned the pilot jet and made sure flame directed over electrode .... BINGO!

Heating and hot water now working fine.

Thanks again
