Why?

There used to be a towel sited about a foot above the radiator... now banished to somewhere else.

Not hibernating as such... moved house.

So would we all but unfortunately it never works that way. Even with the same make of rad as they change they brackets over time too. You may get away with it if you're lucky but invariably you need to use the new brackets. The fittings are universal though so the old valves/tails would normally fit into the new rad but much better to use a new valve pack.

Luckily Screw fix threw in a new valve pack with the new rad.
