National Grooming Gangs Inquiry Announced

Don't like the message?
I'm entitled to my opinion, which is based on intelligent thinking, not the heinous accusations by you and the others.

But I understand that's the closest you get to an intellectual discussion. :giggle:
I watched a video I feel sorry for a girl who got raped from age 13 for 5 years you obviously dont.....so I'll stick to...

Shhhaattttt uuupppppp

He's totally useless

How would you know? Do you experience London first hand, or do you only read misinformation put out by racist and Islamophobic media outlets, or the lies from foreign agitators?

But he got voted in in London because he got majority votes in nine boroughs where we have 50% or less of the people are white British

1) That's not how the electoral system for Mayor works.

2) The votes of people who are not "white British" count for as much as those who are. Except to racists, of course, so you should probably stop making out that ethnicity is of any relevance, lest people start to think you are one.

3) You seem to think that "white British" people don't vote for him. I'm one, and I have - 3 times. But then I'm not a racist.

Another shortcoming of Baroness Casey's earlier report is that it focussed only on gang based sexul abuse:
And earlier this year, I also commissioned Baroness Louise Casey to undertake a rapid national audit of the nature, scale and characteristics of gang-based exploitation.

I specifically asked her to look at the issue of ethnicity, and the cultural and social drivers for this type of offending – analysis that had never previously been done despite years of concerns being raised.

So Baroness Casey's report was based only on gang based sexual abuse and only in the three police forces mentioned, i.e. Greater Manchester, South and West Yorkshire.
Anyone with half a brain, and previous reports from similar enquiries will be aware that sexual abuse occurs in all ethnicities, all religions and up and down the country.
Indeed previous reports have highlighted that sexual abuse is prevalent among institutions that are designed to protect young people.
The investigation into the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales revealed a sorry history of child sexual abuse where abusive priests and members of religious orders and institutions preyed on children for prolonged periods of time. Between 1970 and 2015, the Church received more than 3,000 complaints against more than 900 individuals connected to the Church. In the same period, there were 177 prosecutions, resulting in 133 convictions. Millions of pounds have been paid to victims and survivors in civil proceedings. Since 2016, there have been more than 100 reported allegations of recent and non-recent child sexual abuse every year. The true scale of abuse over a 50-year period is likely to be much greater.

Restricting the enquiry to sexual abuse by a small minority of people or victims does not do justice for the victims. It presupposes the reasons for such crimes and it ignores the problem occurring up and down the country.

Sexual abuse is not limited to any one ethnicity, religion, sex, age, or any other characteristic.

I am sure some of us watched Jess Phllips earlier, whilst i applauded her passion and gusto fighting her corner earlier today in HOC's at the same time i felt she was exactly that, fighting in a corner, aware that the heat is coming at her from all angles, and will again shortly very much be under the spotlight.
A third abuse survivor has resigned from their role in the government's inquiry into grooming gangs, that speaks volumes about what is going on behind the scenes.
Lets not pretend we don't know whats going on.
From the horses mouth
Elizabeth, who is from Rotherham, said she felt the process had been "scripted and predetermined", "rather than emerging from honest, open dialogue with survivors".

"This sense of control and stage-management has left many of us questioning whether our voices truly matter, or whether we are being used to legitimise decisions that have already been made," she added.

Ms Reynolds suggested having "establishment insiders representing the very systems that failed us" as potential chairs was a conflict of interest.

The three women have accused officials are trying to water down the inquiry by widening the scope beyond grooming gangs into broader issues of child sexual abuse and exploitation.

This is what i find really upsetting, the same old issue it seems British citizens concerns are not of priority, anyone here arguing this is not the case, you clearly haven't had your daughter/sister/niece subjected to such a harrowing/permanent mental scars they and their family will have to somehow come to terms with.

Whilst i dont think the likes of JP are entirely responsible its the Labour mentality here on top of other 'responsible' departments at blame here that for whatever reason haven't pressed harder to resolve this. I think some of us willl know why, its the elephant in the room noone is addressing.

I think they can tell out of the 14 constituencies, which voted most strongly for him
Yes, it looks like they do break it down by constituency. Here is an example I have found:

...
That is exactly what the enquiry was set up to do.
Baroness Casey's previous report was too limited, and on her recommendation this new enquiry has been commissioned.

You're late to the party, but no bother, just read the last few pages to catch up.

Yes, but those who are shouting the loudest about having investigations and enquiries don't want those widened to look at all ethnicities and all religions, they want them to focus only on the ethnicities and religions they already hate.

I really think that if you offered them a choice between an enquiry which would find ways to protect 50 girls a year from "Asian grooming gang" abuse, and one which would protect 100 children a year from Catholic priest abuse they'd want the former.

WOW. What a horrid thing to say. Disagree strongly

Then why do so many people close their eyes and minds to any CSE issues which do not originate from people with a South Asian background?

Why, when abuse from "white ethnicities" and non "Muslim" groups is mentioned do so many people try to conflate that with trying to "excuse" the crimes of the subset of the population to which they are opposed?
