Hi Folks

I hope you're all well. I quite enjoy answering maths arithmetic questions.

Is anybody aware of any nationally recognized maths arithmetic quizzes or competitions that I could take part in?

I've been looking at this puzzle off and on and I have just reailsed - if I'm right.

I think rsgaz is correct - but then, so is Ian.

I did it slightly differently - if you're interested.

In 1 hr
S&D do half the job.....6 twelfths
S&B do a third............4 twelfths
D&B do a quarter........3 twelfths

I.e in an hour double the workers (could) do 13 twelfths of the job,
so one lot of the three do half that; 13 twenty-fourths of the job in an hour,
so to finish will take a further 11 thirteenths of hour.

I.e. 1 hr 50.77 mins.
