Need some advice on installing a Nest IQ Outdoor camera.

As I understand the wiring should not be connected to the lighting ring in the loft. Advisable to feed it to a socket ring on the upper floor.

After fitting the exterior camera I plan to run the camera cable through the wall of the upstairs bedroom at floor level. The interior wall has no wall socket on the external wall where the camera cable will be run through.Camera cable is 3metres in length with a 3 pin power socket. There are sockets on the internal walls of the room.

How should I then go about connecting this to the socket ring in the upstairs bedroom?

Camera power specs: AC Adapter input: 100-240v AC, 50/60 Hz, 0.65 A

AC Adapter output: 15v DC, 1.87 A

Camera input: 15v DC, 1.0 A

Just plug the 3 pin plug into the nearest ring main socket. Use an extension lead if required.
Needs to be near your router to pick up Wi-Fi signal.
