Need help to disassemble this tap

Does anyone know how to disassemble this tap? There are no visible grub screws to be removed and or any obvious way to remove the decorative plates to get to the mixer cartridge.

Might just be friction fit onto the splines. Have you tried just pulling it? Maybe some descaler or wd40.
 
Possibly the top shroud (first photograph - the chrome cylinder immediately below the cross handle) unscrews, then the rest of the mechanism can unscrew. Vado "Elements" taps unscrew like this.
