I dismantled a dripping bathroom tap, intending to replace the washer and found the component shown in the pictures.

I can see that the thread is no good and that I will need a replacement part, but I haven't a clue what it is called.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Steve

Yep. Unless you know the name and model and are lucky with the manufacturer. Even then, the best you'll get is a set of new mechanisms.

looks like the tap manufacturer has designed a tap spindle unique to their range . do you know the manufacturer ? if not ,new taps needed.

It looks very typical of the spindle used in cheap taps.

What do the heads look like?

Or a picture?
