Need help with extending a power cable.

I want to extend the cable of my soldering iron, with an inline switch, it has a 3 amp fuse and 3 wires, but I cant find a switch that is 3A, would 13A be safe to use?

You could use this

as your soldering iron is probably fairly low wattage ie less than 100 so will not even use 1/2 A . The 3a fuse is just what the manufacturer fitted as it is a standard rating
