Afternoon All,
We are looking into having our Vulcan boiler replaced (as per my old post). We've had a few heating engineers round and they have said it's not possible to fit a combi due to low water pressure from the mains.
I phoned Thames Water today to enquire about having this sorted and lo and behold there prices went up this morning from 117 quid to 235!!!!!!
What a nightmare. Anyway, this has to be paid before they'll even quote on putting a new main in. Any ideas on how much this could cost. A long shot I know but I don't want to lose 235 quid to find out it's going to cost thousands to put a new mains in!!! We live in a semi detached house with a mains meter outside our drive which is approx 30 ft long.
As I said, I know this is a "how long is a piece of string" question but any indication of the sorts of prices Thames Water will charge for sucha job would be very much appreciated!!
Cheers,
Mike.
