Need to temporarily disable my bellbox

I'm having some work done on the front of my house that requires the bell box to be removed and replaced.

Is there a way to disable it temporarily? Currently it's triggering the tamper every so often when the builders are banging away next to it, and they need to remove it completely tomorrow then put it back again.

And I assume they are easy enough to remove? Unscrew the bell box cover, undo all the wires, remove. And refit is the removal in reverse

Take the lid off the bellbox and disconnect the little red wire from the battery. Put a link in between the Tamper Return(TR) and -12V then it will think the box lid is shut.

When done, remove the link and reconnect the battery.

Wear ear protectors when you do it.
